The Geary Avenue case study is centered around the preservation of the community and industrial geometry of the district, while also incorporating new elements. The proposed masterplan is designed to celebrate the spirit of the place and maintain the scale, structure, and framework of the built form. Additionally, the collective memory and history of the site are preserved, resulting in a more dynamic evolution of the cultural landscape. It's worth noting that the "back-to-back" and mirror concepts are also historically preserved on the site.
Industrial Factory
The proposed mixed-use building is situated between Geary Avenue and Ossington, as well as Dupont and Ossington, making use of the historical directionality. It aims to enhance the microclimate and support local wildlife while maintaining the ecological footprint defined by the area's topography and ravines.
The industrial value of the urban forest and vertical garden facility, adds considerable value by enhancing transparency and offering views throughout the building. Urban chimneys support architectural ventilation, allowing for the release of gases and water particles from the air, can be used for irrigation.

The symbols, focal points, and streetscapes enhance the site's character, showcasing the historical importance of the heritage district while establishing new standards for urban livability. Consequently, junctions are revitalized, transforming the Geary district into a more pedestrian-friendly and human-oriented environment.
Restoring ecological contributions is essential for the preservation of a balanced environment. By prioritizing microclimates, natural ecosystems, and wildlife, we can foster the development of thriving habitats. Each initiative aimed at recreating these elements is critical for ensuring the health of our planet for future generations.

Constructed from reclaimed wood, metal, perforated cardboard, and handcrafted wood trusses, this piece exemplifies in art. Each component conveys a narrative, reflecting the distinct character of Geary Avenue.
